Postdoctoral fellow (2 years) in the “Cosmology and Dark Energy” group

by Julien Bolmont - 13 February 2018

The Paris-LPNHE cosmology team opens a post-doc position to strengthen its activities related to gravitational weak lensing in the context of wide-field imaging. The team is heavily involved in LSST hardware (in particular sensors and the read out chain), in LSST science preparation and in the Subaru HSC survey analysis. We aim at developing our capacity in weak lensing cosmology, in collaboration with our APC LSST colleagues, and use the HSC survey public data as a training data set.

The successful candidate will have experience in data reduction and analysis, preferably in the context of wide-field imaging. Team work is essential and we are ready to reconsider our base plan to follow innovative suggestions.

The contract cannot start before Nov 1st 2018, and is reserved to candidates with a PhD, and no more than 2 years of professional experience after PhD. The LPNHE laboratory is located on the Jussieu campus in Paris (France) and depends on CNRS. Applications should include CV, list of publications, and a research statement. The candidates should arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent directly.

Deadline for applications : March 31st 2018.
