About tests : 1) MCAT Scaling tests * find out how the MCAT scales with increasing numbers of collections * looping of - load of group of 5000 collections - record of the time for a query to list # one collection # a group of collections * sequential load 2) Time of the loading * increase with the number of the collections (5h -> 10H) * very slow if load from Lyon ( > 20H) * depend on the charge of the bbrmcat1 machine ( we had had > 25H for 5K !) 3) Time to find a collection and a group of collections(100) * always the same collection(s) * slowly increase for a group of the collections * not difference between the query starting from a relative dir and the query starting from the full path * need to understand why the first query of 1 collection is much more longer then the second one 4) Problems * AFS issues - if .Mdas files under AFS, after the loading 5K , thousands of .MdasEnv.xyz files - to avoid the AFS token expiration (and .MdasEnv.xyz files) the script, .Mdas files and log file under /nfs * reboot loading started on flora (rebooted evry Sunday), now on tersk * the bbrmcat1 machine is not powerful enough * understand the quering for 1 collection 5) Good thing The SRB/MCAT server is OK over a period of time (in continue until 5 days needed for 12 x 5K)
